2024 UNICEF USA National Youth Council Volunteer Program
Submissions from suitable candidates within the age bracket of 14 -24 years are currently open to any nationality through the UNICEF USA National Youth Council Volunteer Program 2024. Members of the club will support their local volunteer network, advocate for policy reforms, and amplify the youth voice in the spaces where they are typically sidelined.
The National Youth Council of UNICEF USA is a combination of young leaders aged between 14 and 24 who strive to represent different perspectives and voices of youth from across the world in the US to elevate the UNICEF staff can further advance child rights nationally.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for the 2024 UNICEF USA National Youth Council Volunteer Program:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 14-24 and live in the US during their term. (Students studying abroad at any point during the term are not eligible to participate).
- Applicants must have an interest in community organizing, advocacy, and youth-led action.
- Applicants must have an interest in building skills in public speaking, advocating, and organizing.
- Applicants must be able to meet the time commitment, and expectations, and be reliable members of the Council.
- Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Members will need reliable access to the internet and a device to participate in virtual meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Elevate Youth Voice: Council Members represent UNICEF USA and elevate youth voices and perspectives by speaking at events and meetings locally and nationally, and creating social content.
- Support Youth & Volunteer Programs: Council members provide feedback and insight on current trends in engaging young people in social justice work and inform strategic initiatives and campaigns.
- Educate and Motivate: Lead issue-specific projects to educate and inform youth, volunteers, and staff on topics important to young people and UNICEF’s work, and amplify youth voices through media and written pieces.
- Build Community: Build relationships with each other, Youth Representatives, and UNICEF Clubs, support the management of the Slack community, and host digital conversations with students.
