Aya’s Web3 Fellowship for Africans
Suitably qualified African of all ages who are able to dedicate 20 to 25 hours per week for the fellowship’s activities are invited to submit application for the Aya’s Web3 Fellowship which will equip them with in-demand skills. The fellowship is free of charge.
The Aya’s Web3 Fellowship is an initiative of Aya, an online platform that connects the best African talent with organisations all over the world, funded by Coinbase Giving, a charitable program focused on the goal of increasing economic freedom. The fellowship will lasts for a period of 9 months, with 6 months being for practical training in fellows chosen track and 3 months for job placement/internships for the top performers in order to equip them with solid professional experience. The fellowship is an immersive remote experience with all aspects of the training organised virtually.
Aya is a non-profit organization that supports cultural exchange to foster global citizenship and break down barriers to international understanding.

Requirements for the Aya’s Web3 Fellowship for Africans:
- Applicants must be from Africa.
- Applicants can have a full time job and apply as long as their job allows them the flexibility to give 20 to 25 hours per week for the fellowship’s activities.
- The fellowship is open to Africans who are at least 18 years of age and must not be 100 years.
- Applicants must be individual who are committed to positive change in Africa.
- Applicants must be committed and dedicated to the fellowship.
Benefits of the Aya’s Web3 Fellowship for Africans:
Upon successful completion of the fellowship, fellows will be equipped with in-demand skills to get matched with employers on the aya gigs platform.
Structure of the Aya’s Web3 Fellowship for Africans:
- The first few weeks of the fellowship would focus on foundational concepts.
- In the weeks following that, fellows will begin their learning of core concepts which they will practice through individual projects.
- In the final weeks of the fellowship, fellows will collaborate with other participants to work on interesting web3 projects.
