International Student Excellence Awards 2023 at Óbuda University
Óbuda University in Hungary is currently accepting applications for the International Student Excellence Awards 2023, which are open to undergraduate and master’s degree students who are not in their final year of study for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The International Student Excellence Awards 2023 are designed to honor outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in academic achievement, as well as active participation in sports, cultural, and student community events, volunteer initiatives, and promoting internationalization efforts at the university. These awards serve as a way for the university to recognize and reward students who are dedicated to pursuing excellence in all aspects of their academic and extracurricular pursuits. The undergraduate scholarship and master’s scholarship for the 2023/2024 academic year provide a financial incentive of HUF 60,000 to support these exceptional students in their continued pursuit of excellence.
Óbuda University is a public university in Budapest, Hungary. It was established in 2000, but its roots can be traced back to the 18th century when the predecessor of the university, the Institute of Technology, was founded. The Institute of Technology was initially a vocational school for training engineers and technicians. Over time, it evolved into a higher education institution and became known as the Budapest Technical University. In the 1940s, the university split into several institutions, including the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 2000, the Budapest Polytechnic, the Kandó Kálmán Technical College, and the Light Industry Technical College merged to form Óbuda University. The university is named after the Óbuda district of Budapest, where one of its campuses is located. Today, Óbuda University is one of Hungary’s leading technical universities and offers a range of degree programs in engineering, information technology, business, economics, and humanities. It has four campuses located in Budapest and Szentendre and a student body of over 10,000.

Interested applicant who wants to apply for International Student Excellence Awards 2023 at Óbuda University, must submit the required documentation, which consists of the completed application form, annexes 1, annexes 2, and authentic certification of outstanding achievements. The documentation can be submitted in person to the International Education Office (located at Budapest Bécsi út 94-96 fsz. 35.). Alternatively, applicants may send their documentation by post to the same address, in a sealed envelope that clearly displays the applicant’s name, Neptun code, and program of study.
