Mo Ibrahim Foundation GDAI Scholarship 2022 for Africans in London
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is inviting Africans who are residing in London to apply for its 2022 GDAI Scholarship. The scholarship benefits includes the Centre of African Studies offering one PhD scholarship to African nationals as part of the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative funded by the Foundation.
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation GDAI Scholarship is committed to providing PhD scholarship to students focused on the area of state capacities, governance and bureaucracy for development. This may include projects designed to understand public sector governance capabilities, political settlements, state business relations, the governance of state owned enterprises, the governance of development policy design and implementation, and so on. But applicants must make sure to focus their applications on the public sector/state/civil service, on governance, and on development.
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is a non-grant-making organisation founded by Mo Ibrahim, a Sudanese billionaire businessman and philanthropist in 2006, which focuses on defining, assessing and enhancing governance and leadership in Africa through its four initiatives The foundation is aimed to bring about meaningful change on the continent, by providing tools to support progress in leadership and governance.
