UNU-University of Bonn Joint Masters 2025 Scholarships
Suitably qualified students from developing countries are invited to apply for the Joint Masters Scholarships offered by the United Nations University (UNU) in Bonn and the University of Bonn for the 2025/2026 academic session. This program focuses on environmental risks and human security in a global context, providing a unique opportunity to study in Germany.
The Joint Master’s scholarship is one of the few foreign postgraduate programs financed for the most part by the EPOS scholarship program of the DAAD.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Geography or a related field.
- Be passionate about contributing to human security and managing risks from environmental changes.
- Be eager to learn in a multicultural and interdisciplinary setting.
- Provide proof of English language proficiency.
- Be a native of an eligible developing country.
- Have at least two years of relevant work experience since completing your Bachelor’s degree.
- Have graduated within the last six years.
- Plan to work in development after completing the Master’s program.
- Be willing to fully commit to the Joint Master’s degree and the DAAD EPOS scholarship if accepted.
