Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, at least the equivalent of a UK first or upper-second-class degree in a relevant subject
- International qualifications must meet equivalent standards
The EPSRC Scholarship is available for PhD candidates in the following departments:

Application Procedures (How to apply);
Interested candidates should apply for the September 2025 start date by submitting their application here: EPSRC DLA Application. The application must include:
- CV
- Personal statement explaining your interest in the project, relevant experience, and why you are suitable for the scholarship
- Degree certificates and transcripts (completed or in progress)
- Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)
- Contact details for two academic referees or letters of reference
- Make sure to specify “EPSRC DLA” in the funding section and provide the supervisor’s name and project title in the proposal section. A research proposal is not required.

Start Date: Successful applicants will commence their studies on 22 September 2025.
