2022/2023 Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is inviting suitably qualified Niger Deltans with relevant bachelor’s or master’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the eligible disciplines below to apply for its 2022/2023 Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme.
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships is a part of NDDC’s Human Resource Development Initiatives to embark on Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Programme to equip Niger Deltans with relevant training and skills for effective participation in the local content programme of the current administration, as well as compete globally in various professional disciplines. Applicants must have relevant bachelor’s or master’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the following professional disciplines: Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geo-sciences, Information Technology, Law, Management Sciences, Medicine, Architecture or Hospitality Management.
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is a federal government agency established by Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo in the year 2000 with the sole aim of developing the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria. One of the core mandates of the commission is to train and educate the Niger Delta youths to curb hostilities and militancy, while developing key infrastructure to promote diversification and productivity.

Eligibility for the 2022/2023 Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme:
- Applicants wishing to undertake a master’s Programme must posses a first degree with minimum of 2nd Class-Lower division.
- Applicants must have gained admission for a Post Graduate Programme in any of the listed disciplines above, in a Foreign University.
- Applicants who have already enrolled in overseas’ Universities are not eligible to apply.
- Guarantor’s written consent of good conduct of the applicant from member of National Assembly/State House of Assembly, Chairman of LGA, First Class Traditional ruler or High Court Judge from the applicant’s Community/Clan.
- Applicants must not have any criminal record or record of cult membership.
- Applicants must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Applicants must be from the Niger Delta Region.
Method of Application for the 2022/2023 Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme:
Interested applicants are required to apply using the following steps below:
- Application must be made on-line at the Commission’s website: www.nddc.gov.ng with the following attachments: Recent passport photograph, Local Government Identification Letter, Post Graduate admission letter from a recognized Oversea University, Relevant degrees from recognized Universities and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- Selected applicants are required to print the hard copy of the on-line generated acknowledgement of the registration number for ease of reference.
- Shortlisted applicants will be posted on the Commission’s website: www.nddc.gov.ng
