AIMS AI for Science Scholarship Programme 2024
The AIMS AI for Science Scholarship Programme 2024 is now accepting applications. It’s a specialized track in the Master’s degree in Mathematical Science at AIMS South Africa. Developed in partnership with Google DeepMind, this program brings together Artificial Intelligence and Science. It started with its first students in September 2023.
The AIMS AI for Science Scholarship Programme 2024 offers a year-long residential Master’s program. It combines structured coursework with research opportunities. This opportunity is open to students from across Africa who are passionate about mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. We’re looking for individuals eager to explore the wonders of the world and space, aspiring to use their talents to advance scientific discovery through this scholarship.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for AIMS AI for Science Scholarship Programme 2024:
- Residence: Applicants must be residing in Africa at the time of application.
- Citizenship: Applicants must hold citizenship from any African country.
- Education: Completed a four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year undergraduate degree with an honors year by August 2024 (Southern African applicants by December 2024; refer to FAQ for details).
- Final Round: Short online interviews will take place in April 2024.

To apply for the DeepMind Scholarship at AIMS South Africa, the online application includes twelve short mathematics questions and a coding problem. While not an exam, these questions help the selection panel understand your problem-solving skills.
