The AKF ISP offers an opportunity for outstanding scholars from selected countries who lack other funding options to pursue postgraduate education. The recipients of the Master’s and Ph.D. scholarships are selected through a competitive global application process held annually.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for Aga Khan Foundation 2024 International Scholarship Programme:
- Excellent academic records required
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

- Strong leadership potential, professional experience, extracurricular/entrepreneurial

- Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, and for Canada, France, Portugal, and the USA:
- Applications are accepted from individuals originally from one of the eligible countries listed above.

- Applications are processed by regional entities of Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), or Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB).
- Contact the relevant country-level organization for application forms.
- For example, applicants in India should apply through the local office in India, and those in Kenya through the local office in Kenya.
- Submit completed applications to the agency from which the ISP application form was obtained.
- Late submissions or incomplete documentation will not be considered.
