Requirements and eligibility criteria for PTDF Overseas Postgraduate Scholarships 2024:

For MSc Candidates:

Minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) or Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience
Completed National Youth Service (NYSC)
Computer literate
5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Statement of purpose (maximum 500 words)
National Identity Number (NIN) required

For PhD Candidates:

Completed National Youth Service (NYSC)
Computer literate
5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in first degree and good post-graduate degree
Research proposal relevant to oil and gas industry (not more than five pages)
Confirmation letter from Vice Chancellor for lecturers
National Identity Number (NIN) required

Selection Criteria:

Academic merit
Relevant publications (PhD applicants only)
Membership in professional bodies
Viability and relevance of study/research plan
Relevance of previous studies to the oil and gas industry

Interested applicants eligible for the PTDF Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme can access the Application Forms through the scholarship portal.

Applicants need to scan and attach electronic copies of the following documents to the online application forms:

First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result
NYSC discharge certificate
WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results along with the PINs for verification
Recent Passport Photograph
Local Government Identification Letter
Master’s Degree Certificate (PhD Applicants only)
Evidence of membership in professional associations.
