Requirements and eligibility criteria for The Mandela Rhodes Scholarship 2025:
- Citizenship of an African country.
- Age between 19 and 29.
- Possession of an undergraduate degree with excellent academic results (above 70% or upper second class Honours) by January 1, 2025.
- Demonstration of excellent academic and research abilities.

Application Procedures for The Mandela Rhodes Scholarship 2025 (How to apply);
Interested applicants for the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships 2024/25 should visit the application portal to access their application and upload the required documents and essays. The three individuals providing recommendations for applicants must also log onto the application portal to upload their letters directly.
Document Requirements:
- Three letters of recommendation written in English.
- Degree certificates, transcripts of academic results, and scans of the applicant’s ID and passport documents. All documents and transcripts must be provided in English.
- Two short essays: one reflecting on your journey, and the other addressing a specific question related to Mandela Rhodes Scholarships’ principles.
