World Bank ICSID Internship Program 2024 for Graduate Students
The World Bank, through the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), offers a prestigious internship program designed for highly intellectual students currently enrolled in graduate degree programs.
This program is one of the few ways available to students that helps students get a good insight into the work of ICSID concerning international investment disputes which exposes them to the practical organization of the world’s best institution in the area. Not only that but also provides students with the opportunity giving them to submit new ideas and research targeting ICSID’s objectives and thus serves as an interesting experience for everybody interested in international investment law and dispute settlement.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria;
- Must be enrolled in a graduate program.
- Provide written confirmation that they will either:
- Earn academic credit for at least one term/semester, or
- Receive a stipend from their university for the duration of the internship.
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in investor-state dispute settlement and international investment law.
- Must be a rising 3L, LLM, or Ph.D. student.
- Fluency in English, with a preference for proficiency in French or Spanish (ICSID’s other official languages).
- Ability to research various issues in arbitration and investment law.
- Strong writing and legal drafting skills.
- Must meet their university’s internship requirements.
