Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grants 2024

Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network Grants 2024

The ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Challenge Grants are given to member universities for projects focused on climate resilience. These grants, available to academic and professional staff, cover the expenses of initiatives that align with the Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network’s main goals. These goals involve improving the resilience of universities to climate challenges and strengthening universities’ role in building resilience within communities, businesses, and government.

The grants are available to support projects in three main areas: enhancing education for climate change adaptation, strengthening research capabilities in this field, and improving resilience policies in Commonwealth universities. Past projects funded by these grants include initiatives like monitoring sea temperatures in Fiji’s coral reefs and integrating indigenous climate change knowledge into academia in New Zealand.
