DAAD DeKUT Masters Scholarships 2025
Suitably qualified students from Sub-Saharan Africa who are passionate about advancing their knowledge in Food Science and Technology are invited to apply for the DAAD DeKUT Masters Scholarships 2025. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers this fully funded opportunity in collaboration with Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) in Kenya.
It is a distinguished opportunity for qualified candidates with a BSc degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines who intend to further their education and be awarded a Master’s degree in this conducive specialization field. The scholarship program specifically differs from other Kenyan scholarships in the aspect of the application which only accepts students who are applying for both admission and scholarship; the objective of the scholarship is to facilitate students to learn in Kenya and gain knowledge that is applicable within the region and in the future global marketplace by the September 2025 intake.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- National or permanent resident of a Sub-Saharan African country
- Holds a BSc degree in Food Science and Technology with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division), or a related field (e.g., Food Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Nutrition and Dietetics, Agri-processing, Crop/Animal Production) with equivalent qualifications recognized by DeKUT
- Demonstrates strong motivation and commitment
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Completed last university degree no more than 6 years ago

- Apply for admission to the MSc in Food Science and Technology program at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
