Kipaji Scholarships 2025/2026 at University of Twente

High-intelligent students from developing countries with dreams of studying abroad, but lacking the financial means, are invited to apply for the University of Twente Kipaji Scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Recipients of this master’s scholarship gain financial aid to support them in pursuing full-time study at the University of Twente, for students in Least Developed Countries and other Low-Income Countries with great academic potential. If you aspire to further your education this may help you unlock your future prospects.

Kipaji means Gift and was founded by some alumni and family members of the University of Twente as well as staff and alumni of this university. In its annual fundraising campaign, alumni and employees are encouraged to contribute to this scholarship program.

Please note: The Kipaji Scholarship program does not apply to current UT students. This program is also not available for students of Master’s programs in the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC).

Requirements and eligibility criteria;

Must hold nationality from one of the DAC countries (Least Developed Countries & Other Low-Income Countries).
Should have completed a BSc in their home or neighboring country (not from the University of Twente).
Must be a recipient of a (partial) University of Twente Scholarship, with the Kipaji Scholarship covering the remainder to provide a full scholarship.
Must have achieved strong academic performance in their pre-master program, with an average grade of 8.
Required to submit a motivation letter explaining how their studies at the University of Twente will contribute to advancing science or entrepreneurial efforts in their home country.

Application Procedures (How to apply);

To apply for the University of Twente Kipaji Scholarships 2025/2026, first apply for admission to an eligible program at the university. If you’re accepted, the faculty of your program may nominate you for the Kipaji Scholarship.

If requested by the faculty, you’ll need to submit a motivation letter explaining how your studies at the University of Twente will help advance science or entrepreneurship in your home country. When applying for the University of Twente Scholarship, be sure to mention your interest in the Kipaji Scholarship, provided you meet the criteria.
