The program aims to give interns firsthand experience of the World Bank’s daily operations. Interns will closely collaborate with exceptional professionals in the Legal Vice Presidency, who are outstanding and inspirational development experts.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for World Bank Legal Internship Program 2024:

  • You’re a citizen of any IBRD member state.
  • You’re enrolled in a legal academic program (LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent) during your internship period (e.g., for the Summer Cycle of LIP, you must be enrolled between June and August).
  • You have strong English language skills.

Spring Internship Program:

  • Application period: September 1 to September 30
  • Internship duration: 10-12 weeks
  • Typically between March and May

Summer Internship Program:

  • Application period: December 1 to December 31
  • Internship duration: 10-12 weeks
  • Typically between June and August

Fall Internship Program:

  • Application period: April 1 to April 30
  • Internship duration: 10-12 weeks
  • Typically between September and November
