Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship 2024
Applications are welcome from suitably qualified applicants who wish to pursue their PhD degree in aerospace engineering and space sciences to apply for the Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship for the 2024/2025 session.
The Fellowship awards up to 30 women pursuing PhD /doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences annually for the sum of US$10,000 which will take place at any university or college that offers accredited postgraduate courses and degrees in these fields.

Requirements and eligibility criteria Zonta International AMELIA Earhart Fellowship
- Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree.
- Applicants must demonstrate a superior academic record in research applied to aerospace engineering or space sciences.
- Must be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program and have completed at least one year of that program, or hold a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time of application.
- Applicants must not complete their Ph.D. or doctoral program before April 2025.
- Post-doctoral research programs are not eligible.
- Individuals with direct membership with Zonta International, employees of Zonta
- International and Zonta Foundation for Women and their family members are not eligible to apply.
- Previous Amelia Earhart Fellows cannot renew the Fellowship for a second year.

To apply for the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship, qualified candidates must submit their applications online. The Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Committee reviews all applications and recommends recipients to the Zonta International Board.
Applicants are assessed based on the criteria outlined in the application requirements. The evaluation process is confidential, and details are not disclosed to applicants. This ensures a fair and impartial review of all submissions.
