The South African Reserve Bank has announced its call for postgraduate candidates to apply for its Graduate Development Programme, which will commence in 2024. This one-year programme provides multiple opportunities for learning through the SARB Academy and is specifically targeting individuals who are highly motivated and productive.

Graduates who successfully complete the South African Reserve Bank Graduate Development Programme in 2023 will be placed in the SARB Academy’s Business Solutions and Technology Department for the period of January to December 2024. The programme will involve comprehensive training at the SARB Academy, with the option to pursue a Data Science specialization. As part of this specialization, participants will have the opportunity to work on several projects in a Data Lab.

The primary objective of the South African Reserve Bank is to safeguard the economic well-being of the nation’s citizens by maintaining price stability and promoting the security of the financial sector. Applicants must have completed a postgraduate degree.
Applicants must have attained an average of over 65% in their final year.
