2023 U.S Department of State Tunisia Scholarship Program
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Exchange Program is collaborating with the Tunisia UGRAD program to offer the Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2023. This scholarship opportunity is open to exceptional Tunisian students who wish to study in the United States as part of the program.
The U.S. Department of State’s Tunisia Scholarship Program 2023 is designed to provide participants with an immersive experience in American culture, while also equipping them with globally-relevant skills that can contribute to the economic development and advancement of Tunisia and neighboring regions. This program is administered by Tunisia UGRAD, a component of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program, and offers full undergraduate scholarships for one academic year to exceptional students from underrepresented areas and sectors of Tunisia. Selected students will have the opportunity to study at an accredited four-year college in the United States as non-degree students.
The U.S. Department of State’s Tunisia program, also known as Tunisia UGRAD, was established in 2008 as part of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program. The program aims to provide Tunisian undergraduate students from underrepresented areas and sectors with an opportunity to study in the United States for one academic year as non-degree students. The program seeks to promote cross-cultural understanding and enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills, which can contribute to the economic growth and development of Tunisia and neighboring regions. Since its inception, the Tunisia UGRAD program has provided scholarships to numerous Tunisian students, and has been recognized for its contribution to strengthening U.S.-Tunisia relations.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for 2023 U.S Department of State Tunisia Scholarship Program:
In order to be eligible for 2023 U.S Department of State Tunisia Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be citizens, national, or permanent residents qualified to hold a valid passport issued by the country of Tunisia
- Applicants must currently reside in Tunisia.
- Applicants must currently be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing at the time of application.
- Applicants must be able to receive and maintain a J-1 visa.
- Applicants must be committed to returning to Tunisia after completion of the program
- Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the time the program begins.
