The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial support to the people of Lagos State. Its main focus is to encourage the creation of new jobs, facilitate the generation of wealth, and support the career growth of individuals residing in the state. With a commitment to fostering economic opportunities, LSETF plays a vital role in empowering the residents of Lagos State to pursue their professional aspirations and contribute to the overall development of the region.

To kickstart its operations, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) will receive an initial capital of N25 Billion, contributed by the Lagos State Government over a four-year period. Furthermore, the Fund will actively pursue additional funding from various sources, including donor partners, development agencies, corporations, and individuals. The main goal of LSETF is to boost entrepreneurship by making financial support more accessible, strengthening the capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and implementing policies that improve the business environment in Lagos State. Additionally, the Fund will establish training programs and job placement initiatives for unemployed Lagos residents while promoting innovation within the local ecosystem.
Requirements and eligibility criteria for LSETF/UNDP Vocational Training Program 2023:
- You must be residents of Lagos state, Nigeria.
- You must be between 18 to 45 years of age.
- You must have National Identity Number (NIN).
- You must have LASSRA number.
- You must provide a Passport photograph.
- You must provide the guarantor’s details.
