UNHCR-DAFI Scholarship 2024/2025 Programme in Rwanda
Suitably qualified refugee and returnee students are invited to apply for the DAFI Scholarship Programme for the 2024/2025 academic year. This intervention that has been given by the UNHCR offers the given benefits to students in that they get a chance to further their studies for an undergraduate degree in either their country of asylum or their home country.
The main purpose of providing the DAFI Scholarship is to create the academic readiness that students would need in their respective fields upon completion of their studies. They provided a way of attaining an undergraduate (first degree) or its equivalent qualification to improve chances and be more employed and dependent.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Must be a recognized refugee or asylum seeker living in Rwanda.
- Priority is given to applicants with excellent academic performance.
- Must be accepted to a university in Rwanda (proof of admission required).
- Only one family member can apply for the DAFI scholarship at a time.
- Applicants benefiting from other higher education scholarships are ineligible.
- Applicants confirmed for resettlement to third countries cannot apply.

Female applicants and individuals with special needs are highly encouraged to apply.
