The The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) which is an initiative of World Bank invites suitably qualified African Students who are looking to study a master’s or PhD degree program at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana to submit application for the 2023 World Bank ACECoR Scholarships that covers visa applications and airport pickup.

World Bank ACECoR Scholarships hosted by the Centre for Coastal Management of the University offers suitably qualified African students a Master’s scholarship and PhD scholarships that covers visa applications and airport pickup. The overall aim of the ACECoR scholarship is to support technical and scientific capacity development of young African professionals to address issues of coastal degradation, as well as promote the sustainable utilization and management of marine and coastal assets within the African continent.

ACECoR visions to be a global centre of excellence in coastal resilience through collaboration with industry, private and public institutions with total commitment to achieve sustainable management and use of coastal environment through training of human resource, and demand-driven research to support coastal policy development in Africa.

The University of Cape Coast is a public collegiate university located in the historic town of Cape Coast. The campus has a rare seafront and sits on a hill overlooking the wide Atlantic Ocean. It operates on two campuses: the Southern Campus and the Northern Campus. Two of the most important historical sites in Ghana, Elmina and Cape Coast Castle, are a few kilometers away from its campus. Aside from these historical sites, the university is known to offer several master’s and PhD degree programs in over 10 disciplines, along with other scholarship opportunities like the World Bank ACECoR Scholarships to aid students financially.
