The Zeribe Nwosu Foundation is now accepting applications for the first Zeribe Nwosu Scholarship (ZNS) on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (ZNS AIDS). Please review the eligibility criteria provided below and use the provided form to submit your application.

Scholarship Summary:

Scholarship Worth: N150,000 each to at least 3 awardees.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for ZNF AI & Data Science Scholarship 2024 for Nigerian Students:

  • Be at least in year 4 of undergraduate studies or not more than 1 year since project defense.
  • Must be a student or graduate of a Nigerian university or polytechnic (private or public).
  • Have achieved a cumulative grade point aggregate (CGPA) of at least 3.5 on a scale of 5 from year 1-3.
  • For polytechnic students or universities using a 4.0 scale, a rough conversion of
  • CGPA to percentage is acceptable:
  • CGPA of 2.8 out of 4.0 or 70% will be considered.
  • Medical students should provide Year 1 results and evidence of achieving “Pass” for subjects in Year 2-3.
  • Graduates should have a final CGPA of at least 3.0 on a 5.0 scale or a rough conversion of 60%.

Application Procedure for ZNF AI & Data Science Scholarship 2024 for Nigerian Students (How to apply);

To apply, interested individuals need to submit the following documents:

  • Personal Statement: (1-page)
  • CV: (1-2 pages) Include a section listing AI/data science tools used or developed.
  • Letter of Recommendation: (1-2 pages) On official letterhead.
  • Unofficial Transcripts: Covering academic records from years 1-3. Additional transcripts required for applicants in year 5, 6, or graduates.
  • Undergraduate Admission Letter: If available, otherwise, the referee letter must specify the admission year for undergraduates or graduation details for graduates.
  • Statement of Need: Explain why you require the scholarship (100-200 words).
  • Work/Practical Portfolio: Showcase evidence of AI or data science outputs. This could include publications, software development, GitHub profile, etc. Present proof of experience in statistics/programming languages, visualization tools, machine learning, etc. Provide snippets in a PDF or website links.
  • Note: Each document holds its own weight in the application assessment. Ensure completeness for a favorable score.

If the undergraduate admission letter is unavailable, the referee letter should specify the admission year. For graduates, it should mention the month/year of final exams completion.
