Sterling is pleased to welcome suitably qualified Nigerian Secondary School leavers and graduates who are looking to further their education in Nexford University while working to submit application for its 2022 Apprenticeship Program (SAP).

Sterling Apprenticeship Program (SAP) is a social impact programme designed to transform the employment market, to attract, train and retain the best talents for the industry. It is a parallel, market-fit education path, targeted at qualified secondary school graduates and young graduates. The program will enable Nigerian Secondary School Leavers and graduates to further their education under a partnership arrangement between Sterling and Nexford University. The program is the first of its kind as this set of Learners will also have the opportunity to be fully engaged by Sterling under a “Work-Study” arrangement for the duration of their programme with the University.

Nexford University is a next-generation, 100% online university for the present generation. The university system believe in taking a different path to help its learners stand out from the crowd with a consistent mission aimed to enable greater social and economic mobility across the world by providing learners access to high-quality, affordable, dynamic online education that prepares them for the global workplace.

Eligibility for the Sterling Apprenticeship Program (SAP) for Nigerian Secondary School leavers and graduates:

  • Applicants must be a Nigerian living in Nigeria.
  • Applicants must have five credits including English and Mathematics at ‘O’ levels or its equivalent.
  • Applicants must provide a strong guarantor from their parents or guardian.
  • Applicants must not have a Bachelor’s degree and not be enrolled in any tertiary institution in Nigeria or abroad.

Method of Application for the Sterling Apprenticeship Program (SAP) for Nigerian Secondary School leavers and graduates:

Interested applicants who desires to grow with Sterling by apply to its work-study scholarship program are required to carefully complete the application and provide the following below:

  • An essay of maximum 150 words answering why applicants should be considered for the Grow with Sterling Scholarship
  • Secondary school certificate (WAEC, NECO, or GCE)
  • Government-issued ID or passport
  • Other relevant certificates
  • Parent’s or guardian valid means of ID, a sponsor’s valid means of ID, and a guarantor’s valid means of ID
