TechGirls is an exciting package of skill-building workshops, engaging sessions with America’s top tech experts, plus an amazing 40-hour Tech Camp experience at Virginia Tech’s Center for Enhancement in Engineering Diversity. Beyond the tech magic, it’s also a journey of cultural exploration. We’re here to supercharge your tech dreams and empower you to break barriers in fields where women are less represented.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for TechGirls Programme 2024 for Women in STEM:

Citizen and resident of an eligible country/territory.
Age 15-17 at the start of the exchange (Born between July 13, 2006, and July 13, 2009).
Strong interest and skills in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).
Desire to pursue higher education and careers in STEM fields, particularly technology.
Proficient in English (advanced intermediate skills).
Demonstrates maturity, flexibility, and open-mindedness.
Commits to attending at least one more semester of secondary school upon returning home.
Dedicated to completing a community-based project in their home country.
Meets U.S. J-1 visa eligibility requirements (U.S. citizens are not eligible).
Preference for those with limited or no prior experience in the United States.
