2023 Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund
Qualified Africans are encouraged to apply for the Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund 2023. This fund, established in 2012 with generous support from The ALBORADA Trust, enables collaboration between researchers at the University of Cambridge and institutions in sub-Saharan Africa. If you qualify, you can apply for this opportunity.
The Fund encourages collaborations between pairs of researchers, both at the post-doctoral level or higher. One researcher should be from the University of Cambridge or an affiliated institution, and the other should be from a sub-Saharan African institution. This support aims to kickstart or enhance research partnerships.
The Research Fund’s goal is to promote research, training, and collaboration between Cambridge and sub-Saharan Africa. It acts as a starting point, helping initiate new research projects and facilitating joint funding applications. The Cambridge-Africa ALBORADA Research Fund offers competitive grants ranging from £1,000 to £20,000. These grants cover research expenses, travel between Cambridge and Africa for research purposes, and organizing research training activities in Africa.
