2024 European Union GREEN-STEM Intra-Africa Mobility Scholarship

It brings us great pleasure to inform you that the first batch of scholarship schemes is available for application by talented African women with dreams of entering the STEM fields. The 2024 EU-funded GREEN-STEM Scholarships has opened for the year and is now welcoming African women in STEM.

You may be one of up to 92 talented and hardworking young scholars or university staff who will be selected from 2022 to 2027 for short or long-term mobility within Africa to one of the prestigious GREEN-STEM partner universities for master’s and PhD programs.

Requirements and eligibility Criteria 2024 European Union GREEN-STEM Intra-Africa Mobility Scholarship

Call open exclusively to women.
Target Group 1:
Women of African nationality and resident in an African country.
Registered/admitted in or having obtained a degree from one of the GREEN-STEM African partner universities.
Target Group 2:
Women of African nationality and resident in an African country.
Registered/admitted in or having obtained a degree from a university in Africa (excluding GREEN-STEM partners), specifically from AFRETEC universities in this first call.
Women with specific needs or requiring assistance will receive support during their mobility.

Benefits:

For Master’s Degree (22 months):

Monthly allowance: 890€.
Application fees, visa, and insurance contributions are covered.
Travel costs are the responsibility of the grantee.
Tuition fees are waived for grantees.
The expectation of 4 MSc scholarships per partner university.

For Doctoral Degree (36 months):

Monthly allowance: 1230€.
Application fees, visa, and insurance contributions are covered.
Travel costs are the responsibility of the grantee.
Tuition fees are waived for grantees.

Application Procedures for 2024 European Union GREEN-STEM Intra-Africa Mobility Scholarship (How to apply);

Qualified applicants for the European Union GREEN-STEM Intra-Africa Mobility Scholarship need to complete an online application form for either the GREEN-STEM MSC scholarships or the GREEN-STEM PHD scholarships.

If applicants encounter difficulties with the online form, they can download the MS Word version of the application form. They should then fill it out electronically and submit it, along with the necessary supporting documents, as a single PDF attachment to advancement@uonbi.ac.ke.
