2025 African Union Internship Program for Young Africans

Suitably qualified citizens of African Union Member States are invited to apply for the 2025 African Union Internship Program. This program shall help the intern develop his or her capacity by promoting the core values and functions of the AU.

It is, therefore, a platform that will enrich your educational experience and at the same time, perfect your professional growth skills. Speaking to the value of this program, Bachelor, Masters & PhD participants will be exposed to the African Union giving a vital incidence to form their careers and a solid preparation for future leadership.

The program not only lets students get practical training in the chosen subject but also provides an excellent opportunity to develop and explore the intercultural context. Interns will be able to assist in the administrative and technical aspects of the execution of a range of programs, projects, and activities for AU as a means of enhancing the mission of the organization.

As stated above, this internship acts as a call to and a preparation ground for the rising generation of leadership in Africa as well as enhancing overall individual development for all participants.

Nationality: African countries

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria;

Be actively enrolled in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program, or already hold a
Bachelor’s or postgraduate (Master’s) degree in a related field.
Be nationals of an African Union Member State.
Be full-time students in their final year of undergraduate or graduate studies.
Be fluent in at least one of the AU working languages: Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese.
Be 32 years old or younger at the time of selection.
Demonstrate high moral standards and integrity.
Have no convictions for serious criminal offenses (minor traffic violations are excluded).
No prior work experience is required for the internship.
