The Australian National University (ANU) is offering the Angus Nicholson Honours Scholarship for both domestic and international students studying sciences. Applications are open for students enrolling in the Honours year of an undergraduate degree offered by the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Health and Medicine.

This Undergraduate scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Health and Medicine & the ANU College of Science. The scholarship has been generously established by Mr Jon Nicholson, in memory of his late father, Dr Angus Nicholson. This scholarship is worth up to, $10,000 per annum for all successful applicants.

Domestic or international students
Admitted into an undergraduate degree program at the Australian National University
Full-time enrollment in the Honours program for the semester the scholarship is awarded
High school certificate or equivalent
High school transcript and/or GSE results (with certified translation if not in English)
Evidence of meeting ANU’s minimum English language proficiency requirements
Offer for a full-time program at Australian National University
Selection Criteria
Based on academic merit
Demonstrated exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance)
Highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Application process considers merit and evidence of leadership

Application Procedures for Angus Nicholson Honours Scholarship 2025 (How to apply);

There is no separate application form for this scholarship. Interested applicants should:

Send an expression of interest letter detailing their passion for science and academic achievements to [email protected].
Arrange for two references from individuals who can support their application and comment on their passion for science. Have the referees send their reports to [email protected].
Submit all required documents by the deadline published on the scholarship website to complete the application process.
