Suitably qualified students are invited to apply for the Canada National Scholarship 2025. This highly competitive scholarship aims to stimulate the participation of students with a passion for learning through creativity, innovation, and various achievements in academics, co-curricular activities, and other community endeavors.
The National Scholarship caters to all rounded scholars and is a window through which enthusiastic scholars can get scholarships to study in Canada. Scholarships are earned depending on grades and a desire to give back to the community.

Scholarship Awards
- Neen Hodgins National Entrance Scholarship:
- 1 award of $80,000 ($20,000 annually for four years).
President’s Entrance Scholarships:
- 1 award of $70,000 ($25,000 in year one, $15,000 annually for years two to four).
- 4 awards of $65,000 ($20,000 in year one, $15,000 annually for years two to four).
- Up to 15 awards of $50,000 ($20,000 in year one, $10,000 annually for years two to four).
- James Jenkins President’s Entrance Scholarship for Black Students:
- 5 awards of $50,000 ($20,000 in year one, $10,000 annually for years two to four).
Beryl Ivey Continuing Entrance Scholarship:
- 1 award of $92,000 ($23,000 annually for four years).
Neen Hodgins President’s International Entrance Scholarship:
- 1 award of up to $80,000 ($20,000 annually for four years).
International President’s Entrance Scholarships:
- 3 awards of $100,000.
Faculty Entrance Scholarships:
- Up to 15 awards of $30,000 ($12,000 in year one, $6,000 annually for years two to four).
National Scholarship Study Abroad Awards:
Up to 46 awards:
- $2,500 for study abroad for up to 4 months.
- $5,000 for study abroad exceeding 4 months.
National Merit Awards:
- Candidates interviewed for a National Scholarship but not awarded will receive a $2,000 one-year National Merit Award, along with an Admission Scholarship valued between $2,500 and $8,000.
It is important to note that, Recipients of a National Scholarship or a Schulich Leader Scholarship are not eligible for other Western University scholarships like the Scholarship of Excellence or Admission Scholarships. Requirements and Eligibility Criteria;
- Must be an international student enrolled full-time at Western University, Canada.
- Must show a strong commitment to community service through school and community involvement.
- Must hold relevant certificates from a recognized institution for undergraduate scholarships.
- Must demonstrate exceptional academic performance.
- Must have a minimum overall average of 90% in all Grade 12U/M courses (or equivalent).

Application Procedures (How to apply);
To apply for the Canada National Scholarship Program at Western University for the 2024/2025 academic session:
- Apply for admission to an eligible course at Western University.
- Obtain a school nomination (each school decides its process for selecting nominated students).
