Echidna Global Scholars Program Visiting Fellowship 2025
Application is officially open for the Echidna Global Scholars Program Visiting Fellowship 2025 at Brookings. Focused on mid-career leaders who want to promote gender-transformative education throughout the Global South. If you are motivated by passion to make a change as well as contribute to education and empowering young women then this program provides essential skills at the Centre for Universal Education at Brookings Institution.
The fellowship takes six months and is offered through CUE which selected scholars will have an opportunity to learn and be engaged in programs that offer solutions to global challenges in education. Selected Postgraduate students will also be fellows and will be provided with up to USD 25000 for living expenses during the program. With this funding coupled with what Brookings has to offer, you can go a long way in serving the improvement of communities and extending education services for gender-sensitive programs.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Significant experience and strong connections with a country in the Global South, with plans to return after the program.
- Background in education, development, public policy, economics, or a related field in social sciences or humanities. A Master’s degree or higher is required.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in research, academia, NGOs, community or civil society organizations, or government.
- In-depth knowledge of education development issues and gender.
- Strong collaboration skills, openness to feedback, and a fast, flexible learning capacity.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
