The Scholarship aims to empower young professionals in the Global South to acquire master’s degrees in Europe.
The Master’s scholarships are fully funded and are for students who have the potential to make a significant contribution to sustainable development in their home countries. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

Requirements and eligibility Criteria Equity and Merit Scholarships 2024 at the University of Manchester
- Must be a resident citizen of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
- Must not have previously studied outside Africa.
- Must have at least two years of professional experience in their chosen field of study.
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree with an overall excellent grade (graduated before September 2023).
- Must be committed to returning home after studies.
- Must demonstrate the potential to impact their country’s future positively.
- Must clearly understand how studying at Manchester will benefit their career and the broader community.
