Suitably qualified interested German and International students who wish to embark on research opportunities at IET are encouraged to apply for the IEG Fellowships 2024 for Doctoral Study in Germany.

The IEG Fellowships are open to qualified PhD students in history, theology, and similar disciplines from Germany and worldwide. A master’s degree should be possessed and the candidate should be within the first three years of his or her PhD program although flexibility on this requirement is possible.

Requirements and eligibility Criteria IEG Fellowships 2024 for Doctoral Study in Germany:

PhD students from Germany and abroad.
Hold at least a Master’s degree in history, theology, or another discipline with a historical focus.

Benefits:

Full funding for the research project.
Monthly stipend of €1,350.
Partners accompanying fellows to Mainz with no income exceeding €450 per month may be eligible.
Applicants must specify if their partner accompanies them to Mainz in the application.
Fellows accompanied by underage children to Mainz can apply.
