Masters Degree Scholarships 2025 at Dalarna University
All interested and suitably qualified students are encouraged to apply for the Master’s Degree Scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year at Dalarna University. Any new International, Postgraduate, Taught, fee-paying Master’s student who has excelled academically is eligible for these scholarships.
The Master’s scholarships offer partial tuition fee discounts between 10% to 50%. Such awards are disbursed in equal proportions every semester; this will reduce the financial pressure and the student can focus well on studies and other academic achievements.
Dalarna University is well established for focusing on supporting students from marginalized groups. These scholarships help the university offer monetary help and a stimulating ambiance to engender quality performance. Most, if not all, of the scholarship beneficiaries have benefited immensely from the education offered in Dalarna; with many of them contributing immensely in their different fields.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Must be enrolled in or applying to an on-campus Master’s degree program at Dalarna University.
- For new students: Apply by October 1 (Spring 2025) or starting February 1, 2025 (Autumn 2025).
- For enrolled students: Must have completed at least one semester (Master’s) or two (Bachelor’s) in the same program.
- Must achieve outstanding academic results
- At least 50% VG grades, or a mix of A and B, or 5 and 4 grades depending on the grading scale.
- No grades below 3 or C.
- Complete all credits from the first semester/year.
- Verified as “outstanding” by the faculty in your program.
Benefits
- Tuition Fee Waiver: Covers 10% to 50% of tuition fees.
- Enrolled students receive a 10,000 SEK tuition waiver for each remaining semester of full-time study.
- Waivers are automatically deducted from tuition fees.

Application Procedures (How to apply);
To apply for the Dalarna University Master’s Scholarship, you need to complete the online scholarship application, which will only be available during the application period. Alongside this, upload your CV or résumé to your University Admissions account.
You also need to record a short video, no longer than 60 seconds, explaining why you should be awarded the scholarship. This video should be uploaded to a website or cloud storage, and the link must be included in your application. Ensure the link works as it’s the only way the committee will view your video. Avoid emailing the video or sending documents directly to the university.
Make sure to submit your application and all required materials before the deadline: September 30 for the spring semester or March 1 for the autumn semester. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
The scholarship decisions will be announced on November 1 for spring applicants and April 15 for autumn applicants. These dates may shift slightly depending on the number of applications received.
The selection process considers your academic achievements, work experience, and motivational statement. Priority is given to those who list Dalarna University as their top choice and are admitted during the first application round.
