NL-High Potential scholarship 2025/2026 at Maastricht University
Suitably qualified international students are invited to apply for the Fully Funded Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship 2025/2026. Each year, this prestigious program offers 21 full scholarships to talented students from outside the EU/EEA who are eager to pursue a full degree program in the Netherlands.
The scholarship is a merger of the High Potential Scholarship which is a Maastricht University-funded scholarship and the NL scholarship which is supported by the Dutch Government. The idea is to select talented master students regardless of the country they are from to give the best chance to anyone willing to start an interesting academic year at Maastricht University.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;
- Hold a nationality from a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Surinam.
- Meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch entry visa and residence permit.
- Not have dual nationality from an EU/EEA country or Switzerland.
- Have applied for a full-time master’s program at Maastricht University for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Meet the specific admission criteria for the master’s program you’ve applied for.
- Have never been enrolled in a degree-seeking higher education program in the Netherlands (exchange students can still apply).
- Be 35 years old or younger as of 1 September 2025.
- Have achieved excellent academic results, with a GPA of at least 7.5 out of 10, as shown by your latest grade transcript.

Application Procedures (How to apply);
- Register for one of the participating master’s programs at Maastricht University.
- Submit your application through Studielink.
- After submitting, you will receive a student ID number from Maastricht University.
- Use this student ID number to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.
