This studentship which was designed for PhD students will fund PhD research in any field of geography supported by our four research themes: Geosciences; Environment and Society; Economic Worlds; and Cultural and Historical Geography. PhD studentship in the School of Geography will cover fees at Home/EU rate (£4,625 for 2022/23) and provide a full-time yearly stipend comparable to RCUK rates (currently £15,609). The selected candidates stands the chances of the benefits and other research professional coaches. The aims of this studentship is to create a committed high-quality research and knowledge transfer, rooted in a culture of interdisciplinary and collaborative research and a strong and supportive postgraduate research culture and training program.

In order to be eligible for PhD studentship 2023 at University of Nottingham, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants must hold an offer to start a PhD research degree program in the School of Geography between 1 October 2023 and 1 February 2024.
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
- Applicants must be ready to enroll in research program at the University.
