The scholarship includes tuition fees, cost of living, and other travel expenses for students to make them focus on their education without worrying about the expenses. Successful applicants will also be able to attain a quality education when they pursue their Master’s degree programme and sharpen their skills and knowledge suited to their selected STEM areas as well as be surrounded by other like-minded women dedicated to change.
For this reason, through this scholarship, the Swedish Institute wants to continue working for women’s rights, gender equality, and women’s increased presence in STEM fields. The intention here is to motivate female leadership to take up crucial positions that require transition, climate change, technology, and development among others.
Support for implementations will involve funding that the participants will have secured as well as support, contacts, and training that will enable the participants to fashion a career out of the concepts they wish to transform and be active agents of transformation in their societies and the globe.
