Trainees will be able access to the sophisticated multi-million rand full-mission Ship Handling Simulator. This simulator is to provide training to Marine Pilots and Tug Masters in line with the International Standard Training Certification and Watch Keeping Standards (STCW).

Operator Lifting Equipment (OLE):
- Support Port and Terminal operations
- Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Code 8/EB driver’s licence (valid for at least three years)
- Computer literacy
- Physically fit and healthy
- Prepared to work shifts and in adverse weather conditions
- Pass pre-entry and medical examinations (including hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and ability to work at heights)
- Technical certificate knowledge N1-N6 (added advantage)
Skipper Port Operations (SPO):
- In charge of a vessel over 25 tons, but less than 200 tons, in a port operations area
- Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Pass pre-entry and medical examinations
Marine Motorman Grade II (MMG):
- Maintain, repair, and service engines and auxiliaries on board a vessel in a port operations area, under the supervision of the Chief Engineer
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science
- EGPR/GPR (general purpose rating)
- Pass pre-entry and medical examinations
- Physically fit and healthy
- Minimum Requirements for All
Courses:
- Grade 12 with Level 4 in the following compulsory subjects:
- English
- Mathematics
- Physical Science
