The program was launched in 2017 by the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, in partnership with the European Union. Requirements and eligibility criteria for Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program {WDEP} 2023:

In order to be eligible for Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program {WDEP} 2023, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Applicant must be a Nigerian female citizen.
Applicant must be aspiring to start a business or have started a business with an annual turnover of less than NGN2M.
Applicant must have access to the internet.
Applicants can be unemployed and underemployed women.
Applicant must be between ages 25 to 40 years of age at the time of application.
Applicants must have minimum education levels of SSCE & OND.
