2023 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for Professional Women Journalist
The 2023 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for Professional Women Journalist application is now open for interested women who wish to develop their journalist career to the higher level at MIT center in USA.
The Fellowship Which is meant for Bachelors degree, provides academic and professional opportunities to empower women and nonbinary journalists who focus on human rights and social justice. Through this program, the IWMF aims to advance Neuffer’s work in the fields of human rights and justice while providing the necessary resources to help these journalists hone their reporting skills. The IWMF Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship was created to honor the legacy of The Boston Globe correspondent and IWMF Courage in Journalism Award (1998) winner Elizabeth Neuffer.
The MIT Center is a research center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that focuses on the study of international affairs, security, and development. It is an interdisciplinary research center that brings together faculty, students, and practitioners from around the world to explore issues related to international security, development, and global governance.

The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship was established in 2004 to honor the memory of Elizabeth Neuffer, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and human rights advocate. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for women journalists to pursue in-depth reporting on human rights and social justice issues in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Fellows are provided with a stipend, mentorship, and professional development support to pursue their reporting projects. The fellowship has been awarded to over 50 women journalists from around the world, and has helped to bring attention to important stories and issues that might otherwise go untold.

Requirements and eligibility criteria 2023 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for Professional Women Journalist:
In order to be eligible for 2023 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship for Professional Women Journalist, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be women, nonbinary or gender non-conforming journalists.
- Possess at least three years of professional experience in journalism working in print, broadcast, or digital media.
- Applicants must be proficient in written and verbal English.
- Demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
