Aspiring and eligible leaders in Africa are encouraged to apply to be selected for the MO Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship 2025. This elite initiative provides a chance to become a member of the 2025 group of MIF Fellows and develop leadership with tangible impact all over Africa.

The fellowship entails one year of learning with renowned institutions such as the African Development Bank (AfDB), International Trade Centre (ITC), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), plus a grant of one hundred thousand US dollars ($100,000) to aid your development.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria;

  • Must be a national of an African country
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Hold outstanding academic credentials, with a minimum of a Master’s degree
  • Under 40 years old, or 45 for women with children
  • Not a current, former, or retired staff member of the African Development Bank
    Demonstrated leadership, communication, and consultation skills
    Excellent written and oral presentation skills
