African Union Commission (AUC) 2023 Internship Program for Africans is currently open for application for interested and eligible applicants who wish to develop their educational experience and professional skills through the AU internship program.
The internship program is for Final year of Bachelors Degree or Masters students from African Countries, which is a full-time engagement with $29,500 per annum stipend fund for the selected candidate. The funded program is aimed to achieve greater unity, cohesion and solidarity between the African countries and African nations. To defend the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of its Member States. The selected candidates stands the chance to gain professional exposure within the AU.
The African Union (AU) was promulgated launched in July 2002 in Durban, South Africa, which the decision made in September 1999 by its predecessor, the OAU to create a new continental organization to build on its work. The African Union Commission (AUC) is the AU’s secretariat and undertakes the day to day activities of the Union. It is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. and works as representative of the AU and defending its interests under the guidance of and as mandated by the Assembly and the Executive Council.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for African Union Commission (AUC) 2023 Internship Program for Africans:
For Applicants who are interested for African Union Commission (AUC) 2023 Internship Program for Africans are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be nationals of a Member State of the African Union
- Applicants must be actively enrolled in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program OR
- Must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or an advanced/ post graduate (Masters) qualification in a related academic field.
- Be full time students currently enrolled in the final year of their Bachelors or graduate school program.
- Be fluent in at least one of the African Union working languages (Arabic, English, French or Portuguese).
- Be no more than thirty-two (32) years of age at the time of selection.
- Possess the highest standard of moral conduct and integrity.
- Have not been convicted of any serious criminal offence excluding minor traffic offences.
- Prior work experience is not required for the internship positions.

- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Proficiency with e-mail and internet applications,
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
- Proficiency in one of the AU officials working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish, Kiswahili) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage
