African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC) 2024
The African Union Youth Volunteer Corps 2024 is looking for qualified candidates to join their flagship continental Youth Leadership program. This initiative recruits, trains, and sends young professionals from all 55 AU Member States to serve as volunteers for 12 months.
The AUYVC aims to elevate the role of young people in Africa’s development by encouraging volunteering. It emphasizes their active engagement in policies, programs, and initiatives that contribute to the continent’s goals and progress.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC) 2024:
- Citizen of an AU Member State, living in Africa or the Diaspora.
- Aged 18 – 35 years (must be under 35 upon completing 12 months of service).
- Holds a post-secondary certified qualification (TVET, Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.).
- Available for 12 months of professional volunteer service in 2023/24.
- Willing to work and live in another AU Member State.
- Proficient in at least one AU working language (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Spanish).
- Possesses at least one year of verifiable volunteering experience and one year of professional work experience.
