Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards 2024/2025
Nigerian students interested in studying abroad in specific destinations can now apply for the 2024/2025 Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards. Applications are currently open and being accepted.
The Federal Government Scholarship Awards under the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) offer opportunities for undergraduate studies in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria. For postgraduate studies, scholarships are available in Russia (for those with prior degrees from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards 2024/2025:
- Minimum of Seven (7) Distinctions (As & Bs) in Senior Secondary School
- Certificates (WASSCE/WAEC).
- Certificates not older than two (2) years (2022 & 2023) for Non-African Countries; one year (2023) for African countries.
- Age limit: 17 to 20 years.
Requirements for Postgraduate Scholarships:
- First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division.
- Completion of N.Y.S.C. Programme.
- Age limit: 35 years for Masters, 40 years for Ph.D.
- N.Y.S.C. discharge or exemption certificates are required.
- Evidence of readiness for release by an employer.
Fields of Study:
- Undergraduate level: Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, limited Medicine, Pilot Engineering, Neurology.
- Postgraduate level (Masters and Ph.D.): All fields of study.

Application Procedure for Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards 2024/2025 (How to apply);
Here are the steps for qualified candidates:
- Visit the Federal Ministry of Education website education.gov.ng.
- Click on the Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page.
- Read the Guidelines and Complete the Application Form online.
- Print the completed Application Form.
- Candidates nominated by the Board should submit the following to the Federal
Scholarship Board:
- Authenticated copies of academic certificates.
- Data page of the current International passport.
- Specified Medical Reports from Government Hospitals.
- Birth Certificate & Indigene letter.
- Police Clearance Certificate if required.
