Fully Funded Dalai Lama Fellowship 2023 for young social innovators

Suitably qualified young social innovators from all across the globe who are between the ages of 20 to 35 years of age as of July 1, 2023 are invited to submit application for the Dalai Lama Fellowship 2023 that gives 15 selected applicants the opportunity to a fully funded Contemplative Leadership Assembly in USA.

The Dalai Lama Fellowship was initiated in memory of an important figure of the Geluk tradition, Dalai Lama to offer 15 talented, young social innovators from all across the globe a chance to attend a fully funded Contemplative Leadership Assembly in July 2023 where every expense like costs for travel, lodging, and meals for the Assembly will be covered by the Fellowship. The fellowship give opportunities to fellows who have a concrete vision for a project and plan to launch during the fellowship period, given they have the adequate expertise, resources, and community connections needed at that time. In addition to that, fellows will get the opportunity to learn from world class innovators to help them birth innovative ideas that will change the world positively.

Dalai Lama is a title given by the Tibetan people to the foremost spiritual leader of the Gelug and also considered to be the successor in a line of tulkus who are believed to be incarnations of Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Eligibility for the Fully Funded Dalai Lama Fellowship 2023 for young social innovators:

Applicants must be between the ages of 20 to 35 years of age as of July 1, 2023.
Applicants must be fluent in English language both in writing and speaking.
Applicants must have current engagement with or well thought out plan for a social change project and sustained engagement with the project throughout the fellowship period.
As a result of the difficulty in launching a social innovation project from scratch, preference are given to applicants with ongoing projects.
Applicants must have adequate knowledge of the community and the issue that the project is seeking to address.
Applicants must have at least one year of previous work experience with the community the project is seeking to address.
Applicants must have interest in learning and engaging in contemplative practices throughout the fellowship period.
Applicants must have commitment to participate in all dimensions of the fellowship program.
