IREX Community Solutions Program 2025

Suitably qualified civil society leaders who are dedicated to improving their communities—especially by addressing critical issues like environmental challenges, conflict resolution, and gender equality, can now apply for the fully funded IREX Community Solutions Program 2025 in the U.S.

This program, therefore, helps in giving one on one leadership mentorship and training for fellows and at the same time preparing the fellows to lead change in the community through exposure to an accredited master’s level leadership study curriculum. Printed to be launched by the International Research and Exchanges Board or IREX, this program provides funding to help fellow prepare to respond to similar scenarios in their regions again.

Requirements and eligibility criteria;

Between 26 and 39 as of November 13, 2024
Must be a citizen of an eligible country
Living and working in your home country; special consideration may be given to refugees working for their home community
At least two years in community development (as a full-time or part-time employee or volunteer)
Not currently involved in an academic, training, or research program in the U.S.
High level of spoken and written English
Able to travel to the U.S. for four months (August–December 2025)
Not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; have not applied for U.S. permanent residency within the past three years; eligible for a J-1 visa
Willing to return to your home country for at least two years after the program
Not currently an employee or consultant at IREX, and not an immediate family member of one
