Suitably qualified researchers and academics in Nigerian Universities who are a team of 2 to 4 researchers or academic staff from a TETFund enlisted beneficiary Institution are invited to submit application for the TETFUND Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) which is a 12 months online and in person program with so many benefits.
The TETFUND Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) is a yearly programme, sponsored by TETFUND to offer researchers and academics in Nigerian Universities a unique opportunity to transform their ideas into market-driven solutions, including the development and fabrication of prototypes. Selected teams of researchers and academic staff, who have ideas for innovative solutions in one of TETFUND’s area of focus will be taken through a 12 months journey that combines Technology and product development along with venture creation.
Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is a scheme established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011 to disburse, manage, and monitor education tax to government-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The scheme was formed in 2011 as a product of the Education Tax Act of 1993 and till date, it is still responsible for the improved management of funds disbursed to higher institutions in Nigeria.

Eligibility for the TETFUND Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) for researchers and academics in Nigerian Universities:
- Applicants must be a team of 2 to 4 researchers or academic staff from a Nigerian university.
- Applicants idea should be one of TETFUND’s area of focus.
- Applicants will required their vice chancellor’s office to approve their nomination by signing an endorsement form.
- Applicants team should include multidisciplinary complementary skills that can potentially take the idea from an idea, through the development and fabrication of the prototype to a market-driven product.
