MINDS Scholarship Programme for African 2025

Suitably qualified African students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in another African country are invited to apply for the MINDS Scholarship 2025. It presents one with a unique window to experience the culture, diversity, and experiences of a different African nation while enjoying full-time studies toward the Honors or postgraduate level.

It is only offered to those applying to one of the MINDS preferred institutions and is an endeavor to enhance the interaction and integration among African countries through education and cultures.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria;

  • Must be a national of an African country and currently residing in any African country.
  • Must be formally accepted by one or more of the MINDS preferred institutions outside your country of citizenship or residence.
  • Must be accepted to pursue postgraduate studies starting the following year.
  • Must have achieved at least 70% in each subject/course in the last two years of study.
  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities or potential, as outlined in the application form.
  • Must submit a complete online application form with all required supporting documents.

  • Makerere University, Uganda

North Africa:

  • Al Akhawayn University, Morocco

Southern Africa:

  • African Leadership University, Mauritius
  • University of Cape Town, South Africa

West Africa:

  • Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana
  • Pan-Atlantic University (Lagos Business School), Nigeria
  • University of Development Studies, Ghana

Application Procedures (How to apply);

To apply for the MINDS Scholarship 2025, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official online portal. Make sure to have all the required documents ready in PDF format, with each file not exceeding 2MB in size. You will need a copy of the data or bio page of your passport, along with a certified academic transcript or results slip from your last two years of study. Additionally, include a copy of your official university acceptance letter, which must be addressed to you, specify the degree program, the academic year it will begin, and the course duration.

If available, you can also upload a valid study permit, visa, or proof of application. Your application must also include a detailed CV or resume that is no longer than four pages, as well as two reference letters (each no more than three pages) discussing your integrity, leadership skills, and commitment to the development of Africa.
