Carmignac Photojournalism Award 2022
Suitably qualified applicants are invited to submit applications for the Carmignac Photojournalism Award 2022. The 13th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award worth about €50,000 grant will focus on Ghana and the ecological and social challenges the country faces.
While media and photojournalism faced an unprecedented crisis In 2009, the founder of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award, Edouard Carmignac created the Award with aim to support photographers in the field. On a yearly basis, the foundation continues to funds the production of an investigative photo reportage on human rights violations and geo-strategic issues in the world. The foundation provides the laureate with financial and human resources to carry out their project and produces both a monograph and a traveling exhibition, targeting to shed light on the crises and challenges which the contemporary world is facing. At the end of each edition, four photographs bequeathed by the laureates are included in the Carmignac collection.

Eligibility for the Carmignac Photojournalism Award 2022:
- Open to all photographers, of all nationalities.
- Applicants can be individual or collaborative.
- Applicants must not necessary have a press card to participate.
Benefits of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award 2022:
Selected by an international jury, the laureates will receive a €50,000 grant to carry out a 6 months field report with the support of the Carmignac foundation which produces upon their return, a travelling exhibition and the publication of a monograph (latest release: ‘Congo, A Sublime struggle’ by Finbarr O’Reilly). The jury will gather in Paris in November 2022.
