- Must be a national of a Commonwealth developing country.
- Cannot currently be living or studying in a developed country.
- Must not have studied for a year or more in a developed country.
- Unable to afford to study in the UK independently or through family support.
- Must agree to return to home country for work or study after the scholarship.
- Extensions to remain in the UK post-award are only considered for those progressing from a Master’s to a PhD, with strict conditions.
- Must meet the university’s English proficiency requirements.
